This year, the IAFF will hold the Affiliate Leadership Training Seminar (ALTS) and the Human Relations Conference back-to-back (January 20-25, 2008) in New Orleans. Normally these seminars are far away and very expensive to attend but this year both are coming to New Orleans during a 1 week span. Johnny Monette our newly elected Human Relations Vice-President is planning to attend the HR seminar and Don Chauvin is planning to attend the ALTS.

Firefighters well represented!

November 7, 2005 - Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

Over 200 golfers attended this years golf tournament and the weather couldn't have been better. Businesses and various organizations from across Lafayette participated in the annual affair. The Lafayette Professional Firefighters Association proudly sponsored the Hole In One prize for the scenic 13th hole but the $7,000 4-wheeler unfortunately was not won. Better luck next year!

As a special treat, Donny Chauvin was honored to be paired with Chamber President Rob Guidry, State Farm Agent Gene Fortier, and Accountant Allen Hebert.
